The Story Told

This piece is a double wrap necklace made from a length of pale teal recycled sari silk, gemstones and assorted mixed media.  It can be worn long or double wrapped around the neck.

The focal is a handmade prayerbook made from antique Bible pages layered with mica and vintage brass.  From this dangles two sterling wrapped keishi pearls and a vintage religious medal.  More keishi pearls, along with faceted squares of chalcedony in pale shaded of greens and blues…all wrapped in sterling wire…are connected at the top of the focal.

The clasp assembly, which can hang down the back or front, is a large ring with a handmade sterling clasp.  From the ring hangs sterling wrapped chalcedony, more wrapped pearls with a resin filled bezel and a vintage rhinestone finding hanging from vintage etched brass chain.  These dangles are attached with an antique watch chain clasp.  The sari silk is attached with wrapped sterling loops.
