There’s No Place Like Home – Mixed Media Stitch

Using "Quilting Treasures" Fabric Wizard of Oz panels I created my "'There's No Place Like Home" triptych. The fabric door panels were fused to stiff interfacing and cut up the middle to create the doors and held together with two crystal beads as knobs to the Emerald City. The house panel was fused to the house shape and embellished with beads, an altered house key, chickens, sunflowers, a flying wicked witch and a swirling yellow brick road with quotes from the movie. It's stitched both by hand and machine. I had a blast making this piece as "The Wizard of Oz" is one of my all time favorite movies!
