Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet

side view  detail view

This is a shadowbox created inside a photo storage box it measures 4 1/2 " deep x 8" wide x 11 1/2" tall.  Inside are three children out for a halloween adventure.  I used vintage photos for the children and embellished them with masks (which they are holding) and hats (which they are wearing) Each child is also sporting some "bling" from a shiny necklace on the little girl to a sparkly belt on the littlest  trick or treater.  The children are standing on a carpet of bright fall leaves, sitting beside them are some purchased trick or treat sacks which I have stained and aged.  Various vintage images of pumpkins also sit at the childrens feet.  There is a wooden fence behind the trio and perched upon it is a black cat who is wearing his own mask.  A smiling Halloween moon is peeping over the fence and to complete the scene, black sparkly bats are flying about. The outside of the box is embellished with spiders and bats cut using punches and  a couple of spider webs were cut using my cricut machine.  The center of the lid was cut out and trimmed in black paper lace  and there is a circle with the saying "trick or treat, smell our feet, give us something good to eat' .  The words are embellished with chipboard shapes and trimmed using paper cupcake cups.
