A mixed media family album with layers and layers of vintage materials, laces, ribbon, images, trim, hankies, found objects and more. Personal family photos, snippets of heirloom items such as quilt pieces, old doll dresses and salvaged pieces from my grandmother's wedding dress make up the delicate pages. An old dictionary from the flea market helped create the covers for my book. The book measures 11×8 and is 3/12 inches in depth. The outside cover is a very old fragile velvet pillow case that I've cherished forever. The book is closed by chain and a belt buckle. When not being viewed, the book sits a top an easel I created using wood pieces from an old, discarded porch swing.
