"Wag" Mixed Media Necklace By Sally Evans
The inspiration for this necklace was the joy our dog brings to us with the happy wag of her tail.
The pendant features a photocopy of a painting I made of our black lab, Nikki.
The background is a piece of copper with copper mesh attached with eyelets. A patina was applied that turned the copper a Verdi green with hints of purple.
The gold star and bead dangle are parts from various earrings.
The cord is black leather with a simple squiggle clasp formed with 18 gauge copper wire.
The washer charm at the back of the necklaces is another found earring part that I hammered with letter punches to spell "wag".
