Well Preserved at 50 – a celebration of the 1st half century of my life

A mixed media quilt, though heavily leaning on traditional quilting techniques. It is all fabric – 366 fabrics (365 for days of the year and 1 background color). The fabric is fashioned into jars (4 jars for each month). Labels for the jars were created on the PC using CorelDraw – Buttons (192 of them) were used to sandwich the quilt. This quilt is a celebration of my 50th year and the labels journal each months happenings, a meaningful phrase or prayer, and 26 things I'm thankful for. This quilt is steeped in symbolism and meaning and history as pertains to myself.
