Yielded

This is number 69 is my series of bride paintings.  This again was inspired by a blog post that I read about being yielded to God and everything that he wants to do in our lives.  That's why the brides arms are wide open, it's a representation of being open and unafraid to what might lay ahead. The background is layers and layers of acrylic paint and stamps.  The bride is an image transfer.  I like that she comes out looking a little torn and ragged because that's how God sees us until we "yield" to him and his cleaning process.  The skirt is made up of individual cut up images to create a skirt that are then glued to the canvas with gel medium.
