Last week I had one of those days where I just needed to create. Forget the work on my jewelry bench and the emails that needed replies. I needed to DO something. The result was this canvas titled "and so I danced" This is a 8 x 24" gallery wrap canvas. I used Golden Fluid Acrylics, gel medium, Shiva paintsticks, tissue paper, vinyl letters and gesso on this canvas. There are about 12 layers from start to finish. I love painting a layer waiting a few minutes and then wiping away. I also like the looks of adding a thin layer of gesso over paint and then sanding it down in places and painting again over it. The skeleton is a tissue paper transfer that I embedded onto the canvas. The skeleton is dancing free from all worries. Pretty much how I felt when I finished it.
