The three art cottage pieces are done on small wood panels. Wood is gesso primed, scrap book papers were torn and layered with Golden gel medium. When they dried, I used a brayer to roll on liquid acrylics, and rubbed off areas of paint for papers to show through. I cut houses out of printed magazine pages and applied them with gel medium. I traced around the houses with charcoal pencil and smudged with my finger. Other details were added with gel pens, paint, and rubber stamps. The edges of the wood panels are painted black. The finishing piece on each cottage was a metal key. I spray all my work with a final thick coat of water based polyurethane. I am probably going to add cup hooks to the bottom edge and give them away as house key holders. Fun and quick project!
