Burlap Flower Collage

By Deborah A. Pierro – I got the wooden substrate from a thrift shop. Then I covered the front with gesso, after which I sponged on and painted on terra cotta and aquarmarine acrylic paint. After that, I glued on the Ranger tag, which was created using terra cotta acrylic paint, four items from Cocoa Daisy, and a Canvas Home Basics burlap flower. I also added a piece of broken jewelry to the center of the flower in the middle of the burlap flower.

Then I used a Crafters Workshop stencil to add the white designs above and below the tag. I also painted the same colors on the flower, adding turquoise and a little orange to the mix; plus I brushed on a little orange paint directly above and below the tag.
