This is the fabric I designed for the CPS Fabric Swatch Exchange.
It was tea dyed then torn into squares and scrunched while wet then sprinkled with Instant Coffee crystals. I then placed each 9 inch square in the microwave for 1 minute to dry it. When dry I rinsed the fabrics and then ironed to dry and flatten. I then took a piece of cotton string and dipped it into light blue acrylic paint and "dropped" it onto the fabric over and over. Let dry. Using old keys pressed into a dark brown StaZ-On ink pad I "stamped" key images randomly onto the fabric. The last step was to use a toothbrush to "spatter" tan paint onto the fabric.
