By Deborah A. Pierro – This is on canvas. First I applied gesso to the canvas. Then I added three gelli plate prints with gel medium, putting the image of a woman in the center and painting over them with gel medium – I did the prints on white tissue paper. Then I painted on several colors of acrylic paints, creating an opalesque look. After that, I added a couple of stenciled images in white acrylic, using a fork through the wet paint to create the lines. Then I lightly brushed on some metallic copper acrylic paint and mod podged. I had just attended Julie Fei Fan Balzer's online class, Getting Started with the Gelli Plate, so I was ready to do something different.
