I wanted to be able to record the different flowers I bought this spring for my front porch so came up with this cute little 'flower book'. I had a pile of old floppy disks leftover from the early days of computers and could never figure out what to do with them so decided to cover one with heavy watercolor paper (both sides) leaving an inch on the ends to hole punch and add rivets to hold the book together. I didn't want to use cord or string as I needed the pages to lay flat for painting so dug around in my stash and found three earring findings…worked out great. I painted the cover with acrylics (red and yellow to match the disk), stamped the flowers, covered with Modge Podge, added chipboard pieces coated with Glossy Accents, and then added the corners. Now I can keep a record of what flowers did well and which ones not to buy again.
