"Ophelia" by Redon- Art Cuff

This is a cuff I created for the Art Bead Scene Blogspot June monthly challenge.  It is inspired by the painting " Ophelia" by Redon.  She was a tragic character in one of Shakespeare's Tales that drowned in a pond at a young age.  I hand needle felted the portrait and then wet felted it to shrink it down in size. It is free motion stitched onto the denim cuff. I made the yellow polymer clay flower and pod beads and beaded the rest of the features in the portrait . I used a clover flower yo-yo maker to make the covers for the magnetic snap closures. The lace is hand dyed with coffee and heat set with a hot iron. The denim is from my husbands old nicely worn jeans.
