Put On Your Dancing Shoes. A mixed media Original artwork

I so enjoyed creating this wonderfully bright and cheerful mixed media collage. I have incorporated many different mediums. Water decals are used to create the Art Deco dancing images, by printing onto them, then transferring onto the canvas; a tricky affair!. The lace flowers are from antique lace cuffs of which I have painted mostly a vivid, juicy orange and pink. The fringe at the bottom is actual antique fringing from an Art deco piano shawl, which fits in perfectly with the overall picture. I have used some old silver paper doilies as part of the background layer; this fits in very nicely with this era too.
The text is created from cotton fabric that has been printed on via my trusty ink jet printer;
LIFE IS SHORT- PUT ON YOUR DANCING SHOES – CHA CHA CHA .
The sides of the canvas are fully painted as part of the overall picture.
The reverse is jolly and bright. There is some text at the bottom from "The Pilgrim's Progress",part of it says "THOU HAST TURNED FOR ME MY MOURNING INTO DANCING". How beautiful.
The canvas is 12 x 10 inches in size and is wired , so ready to hang up .
Love, Amanda xxx
