Suffer for My Art

Sometimes I am inspired by certain music when I work. I wasn't sure where to place this piece. This is a 3/4 cello that my daughter played until it literally fell apart and the sound peg was no longer operable. I had it in the basement for about 5 year because I never throw anything away and how many times will a cello just land in your stash? I have layers and layers of gesso and acrylic paint on this cello. I sanded a lot in between layers. Brushed on paint and wiped paint away and sanded some more. I restrung the instrament using gold Beadalon stringing material and tear dropped shaped cut crystal beads that I painted red. My son plays a stand up bass and I have seen his fingers bleed during a concert- thus the title  Suffer for My Art.
