I found this small produce cabinet at a local thrift store. It was an ugly green color, and yes, smelled like garlic and onions. I cleaned and sanded it, then added a layer of gesso. Once that was done, I added paint, gold leaf paint, glass beads, and a drawer pull. Instead of removing the chicken wire from the front of the cabinet, I simply added gold leaf paint to the wire, and hung tiny glass leaves (left over from my daughter's wedding) onto the wire. I put a small candle holder (another found object) inside the box, and added electric candles to keep the box from being damaged by smoke.
