Egg Jewels in a wired nest watched over by mama bird

The wire bird nest is constructed of salvaged wire from wire-bound manuals, cherry wood sticks, raffia and strung beads. It is lined with milk weed pod silk and three tiny wire wrapped egg-jewels snuggle inside. Mama bird is hand-stitched from hand-made paper fabric with bent wire legs. Overall size is about 4x4x6 inch.

Fabric Bird Ornament

This is a surface designed 3D bird made with white cotton fabric drawn on with markers and colored pencils.  I sewed around the edges, stuffed it with cotton balls, and finished with zigzag stitching.
