Fred 1, collage by TEMA

Fred is, of course, my favourite name for the pieces I do and this one is no exception.  This is a picture of Fred, not quite finished. Each piece in Fred is complete in itself.. made up of fabric pieces for the right side, a fabric back and a piece of recycled cardboard from cereal…

KITTY GO NIGHTLY

Kitty Go Nightly……….Now here's a girl who knows how to balance her life! House cat by day, girl-about-town by night. She's fun-loving and savvy, a little wild around the edges, and just daring to defy curfew……….I created the bulk of this shoulder tote using textured chenille. The front pocket and flap are a collaged compilation…

Roly Poly Santa needle felted sculpture

Here's my first needle felted 'person'. I hadn't done a face before and wasn't comfortable with it, but it turned out better than I hoped. I used some recycled wool, and new wool roving to create Santa. I like to use/re-use wool whenever possible.

Indian/Native American ATC, part 1

I found these cute plastic mini figures of Indians on horseback, but they were in primary colors, so I painted them with Ranger Alcohol ink in metallic copper. I made the mini envelope from papers from Tim Holtz Nostalgic line and adhered it to the background. The Indians are held on with a jump ring…
