This is my mixed media luggage tag. It incorporates acid etched copper, wire wrapped beads, vintage ribbon, natural feathers and fabric remnants. The luggage tag consists of three layers bound by the etched copper. This tag will accompany me on long weekend trips with my family to a quaint cottage in the woods.

My destination is Aurora Borealis. I have used organza, silk, glittery thread, ribbon, beads, sequins, machine and hand stitching.
The bird image was drawn on my ipad using the "brushes" app then printed out on cotton. I collaged the bird with tulle and butterfly ric-rac onto felt.
To the little hoarder in all of us over those great finds!!!!!This is dedicated to us! A thrift store spoon purchased, flattened then the handle is curled and curled around using a mallet. Hand made "hand" with "MINE" in the center along with initials and all sorts of washers. Hoarded treasures REALLY!!!!! attached to chaines…
My luggage tag combines many aspects of my art loves; linoleum carving (the airplane image is my own work), paper (i adore paper-source products and colors!), postage stamps (they have a unique quality, especially when used), washi tape (one of my new obsessions!) with cameras (taking photographs is entirely fulfilling), beautiful paper and delicious "souffle"…
Made from a flattened thrift store spoon and lots of nuts and washers. Eyes have bling washers. Nose has name printed in each hole in center of nuts. Charm details and fiber hair finish it off. Unusual s hook attachement and charms spell "ART"
