My entry for the New Years Resolution Art is a 12X24" canvas.  The background of the canvas is painted with acrylic paint and the owls are created with papers, ink, and gel medium.  Their eyes are porcelain knobs.

My 2010 challenge is to incorporate new techniques and materials into my artwork.   I'M HOME is 6"x8" mixed media piece on watercolor paper. Incorporated are cancelled stamps, stick on letters and numbers, water color paint,  stickers, piece of jewelry, sharpie and additional layers of painted heavy watercolor paper and acrylic glitter paint.

I painted the background with acrylic paint.  I used gel medium to collage images plus red tissue paper.  I used a permanent black marker to draw the roses, hand lettering, and flourishes.  Finally, I used a white pen and charcoal to pop the letters and images.
