Repose in Roses II

This was created using most of the same mediums as #I, however, I did add another pillow I designed and painted…and then a teacup I took from a photo. The chocolates are from a piece of artwork I painted as well…. I was trying to think of a caption for this one, as it seemed…

Grandma’s Mirror Image of Little Me

I love designing, then painting or drawing textiles. This started out as my painting of  a chair called "Grandma's Chair", which I originally intended  as a way to pay tribute to my mother who is also a wonderful grandmother.  From there I thought I would keep going, so I started a collage with the chair filled with pillows, lace, quilts and…

My Little Chickadee

This is a mixed media fiber collage that I did. I used a painting from my series "Backyard Birds", printed it out on fabric and built the collage around the image. I've used coffee stained canvas and other fibers to give yummy layers of interest and texture. I have also used vintage Scrabble pieces to…

Nom de Plumage

Nom de Plumage came about as an attempt to create pieces in a short amoun of time. Much to my chagrin, the little birds pictured here defied me and decided to take forever. Nevertheless, I have made many of these compositions. The birds are a fabric collage and the frame is found wood that has…
