Mixed-Media Flowers Reader Challenge Results

We invited readers to create mixed-media flowers, and the variety we received amazed us. Welcoming spring in a wonderfully creative way, our readers used everything from metal and fabric to knitting, encaustic, and more. There were even flowers made of mushrooms, lichen, and seeds. Sadly, there were far too many to include in the May/June 2017 issue, but we are thrilled to share more mixed-media flowers with you here.

  1. Some very nice work….don’t understand why all these pieces could not be included in Magazine. The spread in Magazine more about the background photo then the artwork. You missed the boat with the exclusion of these creative collages. mraz

  2. I, too, would prefer to see more artwork. The beautifully staged backgrounds are nice, but I like the art crammed in. More is better when it comes to mixed media! CPS.is a great magazine!

  3. I so agree with the above two comments. So see so few left out of the magazine is a real sad shame. We all want to be published… not that I’ve sent anything in. But those who have, have taken the time, spent the money to mail it and the return postage and to see so few, and wonderful examples excluded is a sad shame.
