Readers of Cloth Paper Scissors love to think “green.” Here and in the January/ February issue, Cathy Taylor creates beautiful images with magazine pages and earth-friendly Citra Solv®.
Step 1 Visualize what image may exist on the page. Here we are looking for a landscape. |
Step 2 Paint into the texture with sepia ink to create trees. The treated pages will resist the ink in spots and create bark-like texture. |
Step 3 Use a CitraSolv® dampened paper towel to create a rainy sky or clouds by rubbing and blotting the page. |
Step 4 Spatter inks and diluted interference acrylics with an old toothbrush to create leaves, and draw in weeds and plants with colored pens. |
