In the March/April issue of Cloth Paper Scissors, Jodi Ohl explores the creative uses for modeling paste in The Workshop. Here she offers two more tips for using modeling paste and found objects to add dimension to your art.
- When working with modeling paste, use a variety of items other than a foam stamp to create unique texture. Take five minutes to gather up items that you can experiment with. My favorites: a fork, comb, bottle caps, bubble wrap, and coins.
- Try embedding objects into modeling paste to create a three-dimensional story. A few items that I’ve used in the past: sticks, rocks, buttons, twigs, and game pieces.
