More Results: Stitched Collaged Cityscape Reader Challenge

Our Cloth Paper Scissors Stitched Collaged Cityscape reader challenge had so many wonderful pieces of art that we weren’t able to fit them all in the Fall 2018 issue. We hope you enjoy this bonus selection.

Jenny Davis ● Lindsborg, KS

“I’m a Kansas girl, but Oregon has my heart. I chose to show my rendition of a Portland cityscape by layering handmade papers, then machine stitching the main features. I then cut out pieces to reveal the papers underneath.”

Lynn Radford ● New Brighton, PA

“I created this collage of the city of Pittsburgh using Kiwi Embroidery Paper, and framed the city with the Roberto Clemente Bridge. The buildings were purposefully left without details, or in shadow, so that the stitched bridge would pop.”

Paula A. Slater ● Gardena, CA

“My stitched cityscape was painted, stitched by hand, and embellished with seeds, charms, bits of wine cork, and a produce bag. I was going for a folksy/whimsical vibe.”
