Ideas for the front side of the painting pages

• Outline the painting, emphasizing all the value changes.
• Write along all the edges of the painting.
• Paint on a separate piece of watercolor paper or other type of paper and glue it to the page.
• Before you start the painting, make a frame with tape. When your painting is done, pull off the tape and outline the taped edges.

• Journal your thoughts about the area, the weather, new friends, and events.
• Glue collected vacation ephemera.
• Doodle.
• Add maps.
• Add color charts and experiments.
• Use an old slide mount to frame a small photo.
