To give my piece a different twist, I chose an antique picture of a belly dancer whose belly button was censored from a pre-1917 handbill. The colorful buttons and pierced heart represent how times have changed.

I love buttons of all kinds and use a lot in my art quilts. Hurray for you for taking butons “out of the closet” and letting anything goes!!!
