I have always loved books; so it is appropriate my self portrait is a journal, using a cover and pages to reveal the way I see and experience myself. Even before knowing the challenge theme, the consistent friends and family comment was “this is so you”. It is a personal success to produce a piece that expresses how I see myself, while others see a little me there, as well. I met the mix your media rule #3 and used paper, fabric, fibers, embellishments, found objects, inks, paints, stitching, and cooper to make my art work about all me.
This is wonderful, I absolutely love it, and if this is how you see yourself all I can say is that you must be one colourful and confident woman! Good for you, it’s a perfect piece.
