At first wanting to marble paint my fabric, I found that I didn't have the necessary supplies. So I decided to invent a process to mimic marbling. I made plain Knox geletin and put it in a cookie sheet with raised sides. When it cooled, I applied fabric paint and used my tangle comb to create designs. Then I put 10" square muslin on the paint and tapped it down with an old credit card. I heat set it and cut it to the 9" square measurement. Some prints I used the same comb swirl twice. The second print was obviously softer than the first. I am experimenting with adding additional textile medium to see if I can soften up the process. This has been a wonderful learning experience.
