Growing up, I had a beautiful fish pond in our back yard. One of my favorite places to be was near the pond, because it was so tranquil, yet full of life. The fond memories of time spent in serenity and communing with nature inspired my tunnel book.
The pages are hand cut with a craft knife out of watercolor paper. There are layers of watercolor, water color pencil, colored pencil and art markers in the illustrations.
Once bound, it seemed to need a little life or movement, so I added some ribbons and distressed them.
