The base of this flag is paper stitched to felt embellished with pompom trim. Using a scrap of Pokey's handmade fabric, I cut out a flower and stitched it to felt. The little leftover triangles were too cute to throw away, so I added them across the top of the flag. For the stem of the flower I cut a piece of velvet rick rack in half and stitched it down with a wavy stitch. I had fun playing around with various pens in my stash to create the letters. I realized when I went to photograph the flag that the colors match the walls in my studio so well, I almost want to keep it =)
