Solar Flares

Solar Flares started with white cotton and was marbled with dye, resist rusted, and painted with ink.  It was further embellished with copper sheeting, glass beads, machine stitching, and hand embroidery.  It was bound in copper sheet using hand dyed embroidery thread and beads.

I had fun with this challenge and it is leading to a larger piece.  I used some supplies that languish in my studio!
