Excited to share my mexican roots and my love for art, mixed media and creativity with this recycled fibers skull.
6"x^'6" ink, watercolor, acrylic, paper, clay and resin Dia De Los Muertos Calavera.
Go There Now I formed this paper mâché Day of the Dead skull head using a balloon. S/he is embellished with pipe cleaner worms, satin flowers, and glitter and pearl accented gauze butterflies. My inspiration for this piece is from, 1 Corinthians 15:55, "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?". The elements are wool felt, Kraft-Tex, metal flashing (texturized with an embossing folder), cube letter beads for "teeth", buttons, beads and of course skeleton keys!
