For a few months my sister and I — 2000 miles apart– had a challenge based on a prompt. these were my results from 2 of the prompts. One promps was using a quote from a poem, victiorian, feather and metal; the other was 3 beer caps.
The wire bird nest is constructed of salvaged wire from wire-bound manuals, cherry wood sticks, raffia and strung beads. It is lined with milk weed pod silk and three tiny wire wrapped egg-jewels snuggle inside. Mama bird is hand-stitched from hand-made paper fabric with bent wire legs. Overall size is about 4x4x6 inch.
Truly "wild" wire was used in most of this Wire Assemblage. The dancing wire squares were "wild" from a gutter in Paris (this summer).
